MOVIE SNEAK PEAK-JOHN WICK 3: PARABELLUM

2 min read

What we find intriguing about this movie was how futher movies were spurn all from the death of a dog. With four awards won and four nominations both in the Golden Trailer Award and Academy for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, USA John Wick 3 was just too good to be turned down and do you parabellum means “A type of cartridge used in some handguns and also A type of German semiautomatic pistol” So how well do you know stuffs about John Wick 3? Let’s take a peak…

“Guns. Lots of Guns.” (From the trailer) The same line used by Neo (Keanu Reeves) in the Matrix.

The glass-structure where John fights Shinobi 1 and Shinobi 2 in the film’s climax cost $4 million to construct.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, John Wick personally kills 94 people in the film. This is more than he killed in the original film, where he killed 77, but less than in ‘Chapter 2’, where he killed 128.

Halle Berry broke three ribs while filming the movie.

The title “Parabellum” comes from the Latin phrase: “Si vis pacem, para bellum” which means “If you want peace, prepare for war.” It is also an alternate name for the ubiquitous 9mm handgun cartridge (“9mm Parabellum”). The phrase itself appears twice in the movie: it is tattooed on the back of the ballerina girl in the beginning, and Winston (Ian McShane) says it out loud later in the movie.

Halle Berry had to learn dog training during the production. She ended up spending six months learning how to train dogs.

On May 20th, ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’, along with its release date, was confirmed via a text message: “You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming – May 21st, 2021.”

This is the third time Keanu Reeves and Tiger Chen fight each other after The Matrix Reloaded and Man Of Tai Chi.

Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick are the only actors to appear in all the John Wick films to date (2019).

This film contained an NBA player in its cast, specifically Philadelphia 76ers center, Boban Marjanovic.

When John cuts off his ring finger, this is similar to Altaïr from the game Assassins Creed (2007). Where master assassins shown their loyalty to the brotherhood by cutting off their ring finger.

There are many nods to the James Bond franchise, one near the end of the movie: Wick shoots glass while the guy is on the other side; this could be an homage to both The World Is Not Enough and Spectre, in which Bond shoots glass while the bad guy is behind it.
